Jehovah's Witness Artists

There is nothing necessarily religious about this page. This is a page for Jehovah's Witnesses who are artists, either professionally, or as amateurs. If you ave a Jehovah's Witness and an artist, you may use the contact form to email, and we will consider adding your art to this site. We plan to have a children's art page and poetry page for Jehovah's Witnesses in the future as well, and you are welcome to write about that also.

Art is a way of expressing your individuality, creativity, and self-expression. Art is a world without walls and can help break stereotypes and keep your mind at peace and free. Art is encouraged for young people and children. Our greatest source of mental peace and inner peace comes from our relationship with God, reading the Bible and helping others. Phil 4:7,8. But art can also be a useful self-help skill for anxieties, mental illness, and as a way of helping children and youth spend less time with TV, movies and video games, which are often times violent or sexual. It is hoped that this page and future pages like it, will be positive and inspiring for many youth, children and parents. Both art and poetry are forms of creative expression which can help heal the mind, or be an emotional outlet or catharsis.

All that notwithstanding, art is a great way to express yourself, and for some talented individuals, to earn a living. Some have been able to support themselves in the full-time minstry through creative hand painted sign-painting. Some may be able to support their full-time ministry painting portraits or murals. Both portrait painting and mural painting can be financially rewarding fields for part time or full time work. Giving art lessons or art and piano lessons to children also can be a way of supporting oneself in the full-time ministry. Additionally, some might go to school to become art teachers. The art room is often times the most peaceful room of the school. Some have supported their full-time ministry as single persons, working full-time as teachers in the public schools.  This is possible since one  gets a good winter, spring and summer break. In whatever way we choose to support ourselves, we can always be assured, "Keep on seeking first the kingdom and his righteousness, and all these other things will be provided for you," as our Lord Jesus promised. Matthew 6:33.

This page is provided as an information page and reference point, any business dealings with the artists on this page, is solely between those parties, and Jehovah's Witnesses Headlines has no responsibility for either party, nor will it negotiate in any way. Thank you. Hope you enjoy the art!!!

If you wish to contact any of these artists for commissioned work, or for any other reason, kindly fill out the contact form, or visit their individual websites. Thank you.

JACQUELINE T. POPE “Jacci”

Please see Jacci's site here

People are born with at least one gift and what you do with that gift should radiate the passionate side of you. Jacci has a special inner gift of bringing thoughts, feelings, colors and most of all love of life onto her canvas.

Born on the Westside of Detroit, Michigan and then at the early age of five her family relocated to Washington, DC. Jacci’s love for colors and expressing her feelings on canvas started early as well, from crayons, to pencil drawings, to water colors, to acrylics. By the time she was nine her family relocated once again to the Maryland area where her focus on her lifelong dream to be an artist to express her reality.

After high school she enrolled into Maryland College of Art and Design, where she earned an Associate Degree. Her creative artistic skills even spanned into the field of hair styling, she acquired a cosmetologist license and became an entrepreneur co-owning and managing salons when she was living in Maryland.

Finally now living in Atlanta, Georgia, she has launched her own company “JacciArt Studio” where she is now making her mark. Jacci’s use of vibrant colors, artistic imagination and background brings to the canvas the raw grit of urban life and through a woman’s eyes a true to life graphic vision.

Look forward to experiencing more of “Jacci’s Art” because her gift will always be an expression of her visions on canvas.

 Books to learn art:

This is an excellent book to learn how to draw, specifically helpful in learning to draw portraits. It has become a classic in the field (not from one of Jehovah's Witnesses). It can help you to develop a very rudimentary ability to draw, into a more developed, complete skill. Even for someone who "can't draw a straight line," it is of value and can help them to develop skills as an artist. For youth (mature 12 on) and adults. (Betty Edwards is not one of Jehovah's Witnesses).
